Wow, this is perhaps the news that have been more difficult not to leak since I joined Nokia. Much more tempting than any device plans. :)

I wonder if this has been chiefly caused by Google Android being finally released as open source and Symbian right after it.

I'd say the main reason is that being Trolltech inside Nokia the business model changes and getting income for Qt licenses is not as relevant as it was for Trolltech alone.
